The seed of creativity starts here! Hello my name is Nina Minshull and I am the owner and founder of Swindon Piano 'N' Drama Studio, which is located in the Swindon Town Hall. I teach one-to-one lessons in piano, electronic keyboard, music theory, singing, musical theatre and drama.
My lessons can be enjoyed by students of any age and ability. I am extremely passionate about teaching and I ensure that my lessons are high on quality whilst being reasonable on your pocket!
I am educated to Masters level and have five years experience of working in arts education and providing one-to-one tuition for both children and adults. I am also CRB checked, have public liability insurance and am a member of the South West and Wales Musicians Union. I believe in a student-led approach to learning which means that I won't make you study classical music or Shakespeare if you don't want to! (although if you would like to that's fabulous too!)

Keyboard Lessons
I teach keyboard lessons to students of all abilities both children and adults. Having started my musical journey many years ago on a keyboard, I now have extensive experience with electronic keyboards and their technological features. So I can hopefully help you get the best out of all the amazing sounds that your instrument has to offer.
Many people make the mistake of presuming that a piano is the same as a keyboard. Although there are some similarities the function and features of a keyboard differ greatly from a piano. A person who can teach the piano cannot automatically teach the keyboard!
I have a keyboard in the studio that you can use when you have lessons with us. However you are welcome to bring your own and provide me with your model number or user manual so I can help you navigate your own keyboard!
My lessons for children has plenty of games, quizzes and interactive tools to make our lessons as fun and engaging as possible. I also use a great young person's keyboard book. Your child will not be bored in my classes!

I underestand that the learning need of an adult differs greatly from that of a child. Therefore I always try to offer my older students the opportunity to choose the pieces and type of music you would like to play. Once you have learnt the basics you can play the music that you have always wanted to play!
I also use a great set of core books which will provide you with structure that you will need to progress in your playing. I have an extensive range of books and materials in my studio which I make available to my students. However if I do not have what you are looking for I have been known to go to great lengths to get my students that sheet music that they request!
Lessons are taught on an excellent Offenbach Upright piano which has a lovely mellow tone and is the perfect size for both children and adults.
