We teach all ages with our students ranging from 10 years old to in excess of 80. All of our lessons take place at Out of the Blue on Dalmeny Street in Edinburgh which is a lovely space for various creative endeavours with almost 80 separate studios. The school was started by Tomlin Leckie as an antidote to all the music teachers out there who are just keeping one step ahead of their students rather than truly knowing their stuff.

At Strollers all of our tutors are full-time musicians with years of experience teaching and excellent credentials.

All of our lessons take place in our studio at Out of the Blue on Dalmeny Street in Edinburgh. The building is a lovely space for various creative endeavours, housing almost 80 separate studios. There is also a nice cafe to relax in while you wait. There is plenty of free on street parking available, and because we are just off Leith Walk, it is easy to reach us by bus.

Lessons

How much do lessons cost?

30 minute lessons cost ￡20.
60 minute lessons cost ￡35.

There is a 10% block booking discount when you purchase 4 or more lessons.

How long should my lesson be?

It all really depends on individuals but in our experience we have found that an hour is an incredibly long time to expect a young child to sit down and concentrate for in an individual lesson. Whereas, 30 minutes is barely enough time to get started for an adult who will really want to go more in depth on various aspects of the lesson.

How often should i come for lessons?

We do not believe in making you come every week, unless it works for your specific goals. The most important thing is being able to find the time to understand the lesson material. This can mean coming weekly, fortnightly, or even monthly.

Some people do very well by themselves, and others require regular feedback and motivation from a teacher. So, if you are not very self-motivated, you should probably come weekly or fortnightly.
