About the Business
London based indie-rock solo acoustic artist is back on the music scene after refocusing his creative energy into a brand new music project... With edgy rock vocals, haunting melodies and hypnotic guitar effects Scott has recently finished and released his lastest album 'neon' produced by Gareth Kay.
Growing up in the midlands and drawing inspiration his mother and her side of the family. Scott began playing piano at the age of 8 and then adding guitar lessons to the mix when aged 10, which was inspired after the 'Johnny B Good' scene with Michael J Fox in Back to the Future.
Taking influence from Joe Satriani, Gary Moore and other solo rock guitarists. The dream was to become a guitar instrumentalist of this style and soon after recorded his first album 'weird doings' at aged 15.
During the recording of this first album, Scott picked up an acoustic guitar and added a vocal melody which I had stuck in his head. Good friend and mentor Ed Summers suggested there may be a voice in there and spent the next 5 years having vocal lessons, writing sessions and helped to nurture his sound as an artist.
Being inspired by Nirvana, Goo Goo Dolls, Stereophonics, Feeder and U2 Scott started experimenting with new styles, techniques and the rhythmical side of playing. Through working with three bands over 13 years he gained stage experience and honed skills as a performer. In between these bands he always found his way back to the solo acoustic music scene.
