About the Business
Originally from Sri Lanka, Marina was raised in a home where music in all forms at an early age was greatly valued. She grew up in a musical family where her parents and grandparents all played an instrument, and she has taken this 'baptism' with music to heart throughout her life. With such a family background it was no surprise that Marina started piano lessons at the age of four. Even though she never had formal singing lessons, Marina loved to sing and, at every opportunity, took part in concert playing an instrument to a high standard.
This early love for and dedication to music was carried on through Marina's childhood and school life with her biggest dream to help educate other children in music and in playing an instrument. As well as playing and teaching music, Marina also writes her own original songs and compositions - many specifically for her students to play and learn from.
