At HCM we specialise in teaching Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Piano, Vocals and Harmonica. Based in Ware & Letchworth, Hertfordshire, we offer music lessons to students of all ages and ability. Our lessons are run as group tuition or on a one to one basis.

As well as individual instrument lessons we also offer band tuition, lessons designed for ages 4 to 6, graded study and full time diploma courses.

Our full-time diploma courses are currently delivered in partnership with North Herts College, and Milton Keynes College. These RSL diploma courses are fully funded for 16 to 18 year olds and are also available to students aged 19+. Students enrolled on to the Level 2 and 3 Music Performance diplomas, have access to rehearsal rooms, performance area, lecture theatre and iMac suites.

As well as offering graded music exams to our own HCM students we are also a Rockschool Public Examination Centre in Ware. Both HCM Academies have large, welcoming receptions so parents and students are able to wait in a comfortable, safe environment. HCM Ware also offers free wi-fi.

Want to play like your idols? At HCM we’ll have you performing songs to impress your friends and family in no time. Put that “air guitar” down and enrol in real guitar lessons today! From lead guitar solos to acoustic rhythms we’ll ensure you become a master of the guitar.

Covering all genres of music, our lessons also encompass subjects such as studying how to tune your guitar, chord shapes, and rhythm and strumming patterns.

Guitar tuition works best in group classes although one to one is also available as are band groups for those who are slightly more proficient on the instrument. Group and band classes make learning much more fun.
Drums

HCM offers Drum tuition for beginners through to advanced players in a fun, relaxed and professional learning environment. Drum lessons are structured and tailored to suit your goals, be it the professional looking to hone specific skills, or the drummer who plays for fun and is looking to increase their knowledge of drumming.

Taught mainly in groups (one to one lessons are available) you will learn the role of the drummer within a band by studying an array of musical styles. There is also emphasis on technique such as time-keeping, co-ordination, musicality and sight/chart reading.

There are opportunities to perform live for more proficient players and graded exams for those who wish to work towards a goal.
Vocal Lessons

At HCM we offer vocal tuition covering a variety of styles from Rock and Blues to Country and Musical Theatre. Taught in either group classes or one to one lessons our vocal tutors ensure that all aspects of the voice are covered in a fun learning environment.

As well as different genres of music vocal lessons encompass warm up methods, technical exercises, harmony singing and vocal health and care.

Whether you want to be a lead singer in a band, backing harmony vocals, or just brush up on your karaoke voice, HCM will enable you to develop your voice and confidence.
