About the Business
Blore Music Academy was established in May 2009 by Teresa as a not for profit music academy. Teresa, started playing the Organ at the age of 6 and progressed to piano and violin later in her teens, having being taught and trained through Yamaha. Teresa ventured into examinations from the age of 13, achieving distinctions in all and an overall achievement of 99% in her final diploma at the age of 16. She later went onto performing in the Yamaha Electone festivals back in the 90's which saw her win the regional's on various occasions. Teresa was offered the opportunity to perform around the UK with Yamaha's top performers but turned it down to continue her study in music.
Teresa taught privately for many years until taking a break to have a family in 2001. Having two young children herself, she wanted both her children to experience the gift of music but struggled to find a good, reliable and trustworthy teacher.
