About the Business
I teach all styles of drumming including Rock, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Reggae and any other style you could mention. Rudiments are taught including the standard forty P.A.S. ( Percussive Arts Society ) drum rudiments, hand/foot technique, independence, chart reading, sight reading, listening skills, drum solos, technical exercises, and reading music and theory.
Drum kit grades are also taught including Rockschool, Trinity Rock & Pop syllabuses. All ages are welcome, and I teach 6 to 60 year olds. My current pupils include total beginners to grade 8 distinction drummers. Many people just want to play for fun- I can help you learn songs and give tips on how to get in and play in a band!

There is a computer and internet to access any song on the internet, also a very powerful stereo system incorporating the latest mp3 players- which can slow down and loop any song if required, to work out any drum part no matter how complex (I have been transcribing songs for over 25 years) A Tascam Jam Station is in the set up to provide backing tracks to jam along with; I can also use students own MP3 players if required.
I have hundreds of drum books and backing tracks for reference including all the great drum books of all time, and all the very latest releases. I also have hundred’s of transcriptions and charts for songs of all styles from Classic Jazz to the latest modern Rock tracks.
